This popular app allows drivers to conveniently pay for parking via their phones, bypassing the need for traditional parking machines. With RingGo's widespread use in over 500 towns and cities, the outage has impacted drivers across the country.
According to Downdetector, over 1,300 reports have flooded in, indicating the app's malfunction. The issue peaked around 8 am, causing a significant disruption during a busy time for commuters.
Motorists using the app are encountering error messages, such as "We encountered a problem dealing with your request, please try again." Another message reads, "Looks like something went wrong processing your request. Try restarting the app. If the issues continues, delete and reinstall the app before trying again."
George Chamberlain, External Communications Manager at RingGo, acknowledged the issue, stating, "We are experiencing a disturbance to our internal systems, affecting the RingGo service. Restoring normal service is our top priority, and we are actively investigating."
RingGo has apologized for the inconvenience and has informed parking operators to suspend parking enforcement until the issue is resolved. However, Pay and Display machines are still operational where available.

Another user reported that the app was extremely slow and that certain functions were unavailable when trying to book a parking session.
