However, there’s an air of uncertainty regarding Harbaugh's level of interest. Although he has intentions of visiting other teams, specifically the Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons, it seems those meetings have yet to be finalized. This situation has sparked optimism within the Giants' organization, as they hope to finalize a deal with Harbaugh by the day’s end.
Reports suggest that the Giants began laying the groundwork for this potential hire even before Harbaugh was let go. They anticipated that the 62-year-old coach would soon be available, particularly after the Ravens fell short in their playoff pursuit by losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers, leading to his firing the next day. Once he became available, the Giants wasted no time in putting him at the top of their list of coaching candidates.

Chris Mara, the team’s senior personnel consultant and brother of co-owner John Mara, personally visited Harbaugh at his residence last week. Additionally, John Mara, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment, has had conversations with Harbaugh. General manager Joe Schoen has also engaged in multiple detailed discussions with the coach.
The Giants have gone above and beyond to demonstrate their commitment to Harbaugh.
